Year Five/Six News

Over the last few weeks, our Year 5/6 students have been working on persuasive writing. The purpose of persuasion in writing is to convince, motivate, or move readers toward a certain point of view, or opinion. Students followed the writing process from planning through to publishing. The process supported all of our students to write a persuasive piece that was meaningful to them.

Late last week, S3 were able to share their published work with the Year 3/4 students in B3. Students admired the language choices that were used to persuade the reader. By presenting strong evidence, such as facts and statistics in their writing, readers were more likely to be convinced!
