Holy Week Walk

Our Holy Week Walk:  A Journey of Reflection

Our school community recently gathered for a meaningful Holy Week Walk, an opportunity to reflect on the significance of the events leading up to Easter Sunday. As we journeyed through various stations, we paused to contemplate the moments that defined Jesus' final earthly days.

We began by commemorating Palm Sunday, reflecting on Jesus' entry into Jerusalem amid shouts of joy and praise. The waving of palm branches reminded us of the fleeting nature of human adoration and the steadfastness of Jesus' mission.

Next, we recalled the Washing of the Feet, a powerful symbol of humility and service. This station encouraged us to consider how to emulate Jesus' example of selfless love in our interactions with others.

Gathering around the table for the Last Supper, we shared in the solemnity of Jesus' final meal with his disciples. Through the breaking of bread and sharing of wine, we were reminded of the unity and fellowship in communion with one another and God.

In the Garden of Gethsemane, we entered into a time of quiet reflection and prayer. Like Jesus, we grappled with our fears and uncertainties, seeking solace and strength in moments of doubt.

Finally, we stood at the foot of the cross, contemplating the immense sacrifice of Jesus' crucifixion. This station served as a poignant reminder of God's love for humanity and the promise of redemption in Christ's resurrection.

Thank you to all staff and students for participating calmly and reverently in the Holy Week Walk. It was a moment to inspire our faith Journeys.
