MRS SALLY LOONEY & MRS ANNA STEICKE - PATHWAYS TEAM

Headspace and MMLLEN Work and Study Month

Last week our Year 10 Pathway students visited the Swan Hill District Health (SHDH) Education Centre to talk about the work experience program SHDH has to offer Year 10 students. The talk at the Education Centre is to help spark an interest in the healthcare sector and help them decide if it is the right field for them. The students also learned about how they can apply for work experience at the hospital and the compliance that is required to undergo work experience.

This information session is a fantastic opportunity to learn about all the different healthcare professions involved in patient care. SHDH employs over 650 staff members, being one of the biggest employers in our community covering a range of industries as well as different employment.

Every year we have several students who get to participate in work experience at the hospital and we would like to thank Jayne, Amie, Kellie and Carlie for all the time and effort that goes into this program to help inspire the next generation of healthcare workers.
