YEAR 11 BUSINESS MANAGEMENT - GUEST SPEAKER

MRS MONIQUE WATT - CURRICULUM LEADER HUMANITIES

Year 11 Business Management students were fortunate last week to gain insights from local entrepreneur, Lisa Bartalotta, owner of Logan Street Store. Lisa offered a captivating presentation on the realities of running a business, delving into the internal and external factors that shape her day-to-day operations.

Students were particularly engaged by Lisa's discussion of the planning stages involved in launching her business.  She emphasised the importance of meticulous research and planning before opening the doors,  highlighting the various considerations she had to make to ensure success.

Lisa also shed light on the concept of corporate social responsibility,  demonstrating how her business prioritizes giving back to the community. The students were left with a well-rounded understanding of the challenges and rewards of running a local business. We are very grateful to Lisa for giving her time to our class.
