In Year 8 music this term, we have started our unit of work on 'Music in Film and Media'. Students have especially enjoyed playing songs from the unit on BoomWhackers - like 'I'm Still Standing' from Sing!

7 Tech Mandato
Year 7 Technology Mandatory students have made an exciting and creative start to their latest project—designing and constructing their very own kites.
Students began by carefully planning and cutting out their chosen patterns and shapes, demonstrating precision and attention to detail. They then progressed to stitching the pieces together, developing their practical skills while bringing their ideas to life.
The classroom has been full of colour and imagination, with students creating a wide range of unique designs. These include playful minion-inspired kites, striking shark themes, and vibrant under-the-sea creations. Each project reflects the individuality and creativity of our students, as well as their growing confidence in using tools and materials.
We look forward to seeing these fantastic kites take flight in the coming weeks!

Each student has selected a unique design, experimenting with a variety of fabrics and embellishments to express their individual style. The classroom has become a hub of innovation, with creativity shining through every stitch and detail.
It has been wonderful to see students refining their practical skills, building confidence, and embracing the design process. We are excited to watch these imaginative projects continue to develop in the weeks ahead.
