What’s Happening in Careers?

Year 10

The Year 10 group were welcomed back with a MyPath session as their first class. We used this time to reflect on the career exploration process and the decisions they had made for next year as the first step in moving towards their goals. The students then created a ‘Plan A’ for the next two years, looking at how their chosen subjects and courses will prepare them if all goes to plan. They then created a ‘Plan B’ to identify the points at which they can evaluate their pathway and make changes and what these options might look like. We will revisit these plans in our next session. If your son is considering the mining industry, the below opportunity from Curtin is worth considering:

Year 11

Welcome back to the Year 11’s!

Year 12

It has been nice to see some of the ATAR boys around as they prepare for their exams. This is the final stretch for them so its important that they keep their eye on the prize. If they are struggling with decisions about courses or applications to uni they are always welcome to drop in or give me a call.

It’s also been wonderful to hear about the great apprenticeships that have been secured by a number of our students. We love getting emails and calls to let us know about your success. Keep in touch!

Finally, there are still opportunities coming in to us, so if you aren’t sure what is next we might have some options for you.
