Do you need a resume?

The Careers team run workshops to assist.

  • Resume: Thursday at lunchtime 1.15pm- 1.45pm. Bring your laptop.
  • Job Search, Interview Skills Sessions: Wednesday 1.15pm- 1.45pm 

Gain knowledge on how to search for a job and the type of questions you may be asked in an interview. Bring your laptop.

 

Year 12 interviews

During term 1, all year 12 students will have a 1:1 meeting with a member of the Careers team.  Each team member is allocated to a house so if you need to speak with someone, please see below:

Hollows- Marg McMahon (commencing in late February)

 

Keep an eye on Teams for your scheduled meeting time, this will be scheduled for during one of your study periods.

 

 

 

MEDICINE, DENTISTRY, ORAL HEALTH

If you are in Year 12 and plan to apply for medicine, dentistry and/or oral health (to start in 2024) you may need to sit the UCAT ANZ (University Clinical Aptitude Test). 

You will sit the test mid-year and selected universities use your UCAT ANZ results as part of the selection process, in conjunction with your ATAR and Year 12 results, and in some cases an interview. 

You will only have one chance to sit the UCAT ANZ this year. It will cost you $325 to sit the test, or $199 concession, and you will be able to receive your results straight away. Booking open 5 March 2024.

ADF Gap Year Program

Year 12 students will soon be able to apply for the ADF Gap Year program. Students will spend an exciting 12-months in the Navy, Army or Air Force, and get paid for meaningful work while travelling around Australia, gaining skills for life, and making lifelong friends.

Victorian Careers & Employment Expo 2024

March 14 to March 16, 2024

Victorian Careers & Employment Expo is open from March 14 to 16, 2024 at the Melbourne Showgrounds. The Expo will showcase over 130 organisations and employers with career opportunities for all ages. Visitor entry is free.

The event is for school students, parents, teachers, graduates, job seekers, people looking for courses and workers seeking new opportunities.
