Introducing Berry Street Education at HP! 

We are very excited to begin our whole school journey in implementing the Berry Street Educational Model, a highly regarded, evidence-based approach to behaviour support and learning, at Hampton Park SC. 

All staff are participating in training sessions over 4 days, covering 5 Domains: Body; Relationship; Stamina; Engagement; and Character (see further detail below). 

The Berry Street Education Model (BSEM) provides strategies that enables teachers to increase engagement of students with complex, unmet learning needs and to successfully improve all students’ self-regulation, relationships, wellbeing, growth, and academic achievement. Strategies to enable all our students to thrive! 

The values that underpin the Berry Street philosophy include a deep belief that children, young people and families should be safe, thriving and hopeful. That with connection and belonging, children are healthy, happy, and free to engage in school; to learn, to achieve, and to create the future they imagine for themselves.
