VIT & WWCC Reminders
VIT Annual Registration Tasks
All teachers are required to complete the annual registration process by 30 September each year in order to maintain their registration. The annual registration process applies to all registration categories.
Teachers who hold (full) registration are required to do the following within the current registration period (1 October to 30 September)
- make declarations
- about their continuing suitability to teach
- that they have practised for at least 20 days as a teacher or educational leader (or undertaken equivalent practice)
- that they completed at least 20 hours of professional learning that references the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST)
- complete a five-yearly Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) as required, and
- pay an annual registration fee.
Teachers who hold provisional registration or permission to teach are required to
- complete a five-yearly Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) as required, and
- pay an annual registration fee.
To support you with submitting your 20 hours of professional learning, Gabrielle Maher has provided you with a generic Professional Learning Certificate and an editable Professional Development Log.

Once you have received your new VIT card, it is now a requirement that all staff update their VIT information and upload a photo of their VIT card in eduPay.

Working With Children Check (WWCC)
Can all ES staff please ensure that they have renewed their Working With Children Check (WWCC). There is currently quite a waiting list and delays. I encourage you to have applied for your WWCC at least two months before your card expires. Also, ensure that your contact details are up-to-date and check for updates/requests for information regularly. Employees who do not have a current WWCC cannot engage in child-related work until this has been updated on EduPay.
