LOTE

In LOTE, all grades have started focusing on Animals!

The Prep - Grade 2's have begun learning about Australian Animals and love the practising the different actions. They have also extended their knowledge by describing the animals with the colour of their fur, feather or scales.

The Grade 3 - 6's have been categorising Animals and learning the actions for many different types. This includes farm, beach/water and zoo Animals.

We are going to be a little creative and students will have the chance to research an animal and/or create their own! We will also progress our signing skills to communicate facts about these animals such as their habitat, what they eat and how big they get!

PHYSICAL EDUCATION

There is so much going on in the P.E world at Officer Primary School at the moment!

In the Prep - 2 grades we have started our Ball Bounce topic where students will practise their bouncing and dribbling skills in a range of activities.

The 3-6's have started the term discussing what it means to be healthy and active including completing the beep test to see where their running levels are at. All students did a tremendous job ensuring they offered quality encouragement to each other.

The whole school has also been increasing thier movement by participating in K-A-DAY! This is an option for classes to participate in an active break and run/walk laps of the school. In past years, K-A-DAY has been a great success and this year is no different. We look forward to seeing this continue throughout the term.
