Dear Parents,

As we farewell another exciting term at St. Francis Xavier School,  a term filled with achievements, engaging learning experiences, and memorable events for our staff and students.

Here are some highlights:

Aladdin Trouble Success:

We are thrilled to congratulate our talented staff and students for their outstanding performance in "Aladdin Trouble." The Year 6 students, in particular, left a remarkable mark with their exceptional performance. A link to the production will be made available in Term 4, so you can relive this wonderful memory.

A special shout out goes to Mr. Vieira for his dedication in recording and preparing the production. His efforts have ensured that this performance will be a cherished memory for years to come.

Teaching and Learning:

Throughout this term, our primary focus has been on teaching and learning. I have visited classrooms throughout the term and am pleased to report that students have been highly engaged in their educational journeys. This is reflected in the work that has been produced by the students.

Curriculum Development:

Our teachers have been hard at work with the new NESA English and Maths syllabus, which will be implemented in 2024. Countless meetings and discussions have taken place to ensure a smooth transition and an enhanced learning experience for our students. Work on this will continue in term four.

This term has seen a multitude of events, including stage assemblies, exciting excursions, engaging incursions, public speaking competitions, the Invictus Challenge, Grandparents' Day, Father's Day celebrations, ICAS assessments, 100 Days of Kindergarten, the Book Character Parade, a visit from Channel 7 for the Matildas game, the Sacrament of Confirmation, and an unforgettable musical performance. It has been a term of many successes.

As we look forward to a well-deserved break, thank you for your continue support which is essential in creating a positive and enriching learning environment for our students.

I wish you all a safe and enjoyable break and see you back for another exciting term ahead.

Kind Regards,

Grace Carlo-Stella
