Celebrating Learning

Kii 2/3S families!

We’ve had some great learning experiences this past two weeks. We made a huge 100’s grid in the multipurpose room and used the felted lily pads to fill it in. 

We’ve continued to explore numbers through lots of games and have tried a few tricky maths puzzles too. The kids have been loving working in small groups to solve these together. They’ve also been learning about rounding to the nearest 10 using lots of number lines. 

We have started a new Main Lesson (Trading Treasure) which is looking at trade and barter systems before the invention of money. We’ve had some fantastic discussions about the value of different materials and how this can relate to how plentiful/useful the materials are.
