Craft
Students have been steadily working through their felting projects demonstrating fantastic resilience and perseverance. The Prep students have finished making their felted stress balls and have begun learning how to do finger knitting. They are such a bright class they have learnt this new skill in just two sessions. I am so impressed!
Class one have finished their larger stress balls and will be working next on stitching their recorder bags using hessian and wool needles.
Class 2/3 are making felted furry friends with some students adding extra details by stitching wool pieces to their design. Their next project will be stitched sunray cushions for class two and class three students will select a stitched toy of their choice.
Class 4 are nearing completion of their felted dwellings and class 5/6 are busily stitching the final details onto their felted crazy creatures.
I am also very excited to have the opportunity to bring all our 3/4 students to TarraWarra Museum of Art to view the current exhibition of art and furniture design. Students will engage in art discussions and create artworks based on the artworks viewed. We will also stop at the Chocolaterie for lunch and a treat. The excursion is generously paid for but you will need to provide some money for the chocolate treat.
Please check the compass post and sign the excursion permission form.

To support student learning, parents are invited to help out in the art room. You will need a current working with children check. Please sign in at the office before you come to the art room.
