Project Rockit Incursion

Last Tuesday our friends from Project Rockit came to talk to the Year 3/4s about Belonging. We played a variety of games across the session that related to the themes of belonging and connectedness. We discussed the question, What is normal?We spoke about how we are all different and how what's normal to one person will be different to the next. From our morning routine, to what we eat on daily basis, normal is different for everyone. The students had a chance to speak with each other and our presenters about their thoughts on this topic. Thanks to Ms Melissa for organising the session. 

Education in Faith

In our Faith unit this Term, we have been looking at the Catholic Social Teaching of Care for our Common Home. Last week we read from Genesis, and reflected on the beauty of God's creations, and why it is so important to look after them in a sustainable way.

From Garden to Kitchen Incursion

Last Friday the Year 3/4s were lucky enough to participate in the From Garden to Kitchen incursion. We learnt about the importance of reducing food waste and practical ideas on how to compost the food scraps we would otherwise throw out. We also learnt how to grow some of our own food from the scraps by removing the seeds and pips.
