Congratulations to all students for their efforts in the House Cross Country! It was an amazing day, I loved seeing our students encourage each other, persist when it got challenging and push themselves outside their comfort zone.
A HUGE thanks to all the parent volunteers that helped out with marshaling, running and resetting cones along the course. A special thanks to Brad Buyck (and Gemma!) for setting up the course early in the morning and for the many, many kilometers ran with our students!
Thanks to the Grade 6 House Captains, Sport Leaders and other amazing student leaders who took on jobs with the younger age groups. You are all STARS.
The final results were:
Congratulations to all our top 10 runners in each age/gender group at House Cross Country for qualifying to run at the District Cross Country on Tuesday 14th May at Quamby Reserve.
These students will be running against the top runners from 10 other schools within our district. We wish you luck!
Friday morning running club will continue in Term 2, all students welcome to come and join as soon as the gates open. Remember just drop your bag at your classroom, grab your teams colour band (if you don't already have something in your house colour on!) and get moving!
Here is an update of the house points earned so far from Friday morings and the House Cross Country points have been added:
Remember there is a house cup sitting in the front office that display's each weekly winner. There is also a weekly leaderboard up in the 5/6 building window that will be updated each week.
In the final week of Term 2 is our school swimming Program at Aquanation. An Operoo form has been sent out with all details. Please ensure you have responded to assist us with the planning and organisation of the event. Thank you!
Keep Active!
