We are learning to develop a sizzling start within a narrative text using a variety of literary devices.

VOCABULARY

Narrative: the telling of a story with a sequence of events that is fictional.

Sizzling start: an engaging introduction to a narrative that grabs the reader. 

Literary devices: these are a range of language techniques used to engage the reader, For example: 

-Personification

-Simile

-Rule of 3

-Precision of meaning.

-Metaphor.

-Idiom

-Humour.

-Repetition.

-Irony
