Teaching & Learning

Behaviour and Learning

There have been a lot of chants heard throughout the school during learning times this week as our classes began to refine their Cue to Start routines. The students and staff have done a wonderful job, and it has been fantastic seeing students deepen their understanding of why teachers want their attention and how this helps them as a learner.

Our behaviour curriculum is quite extensive and will take time to implement as we explicitly teach each value, expected behaviours, routines and rules within our school. We are fortunate to have the support of MACS, Knowledge Society, Classroom Mastery and Mastery School Australia, who will visit later this term to further share their expertise and coach leaders and teachers around our initial steps in implementing this curriculum.

Please click the link below to see a copy of our behaviour curriculum, and reach out to Declan or I, if you wish to know more.

National Simultaneous Storytime 2024

National Simultaneous Storytime will take place on Wednesday 22 May at 12:00 pm. This year's book is "Bowerbird Blues" by Aura Parker. It is a colourful, vibrant, fun event that aims to promote the value of reading and literacy, and we hope to post some links for anyone who may wish to join in the event at home.

I hope you have a wonderful week
