Mother’s Day is only a few weeks away and the Dad’s breakfast team is planning something special for the mothers’ of CJC and the stall for your children to select a special gift for their Mum is almost ready to go too. Details and tickets about the breakfast will available soon. If you are able to volunteer to assist with the breakfast or the stall during the day, please register below.  We have added an additional sale for the 2nd Hand Uniform stall for next Friday morning from 8.45am until 9.30am. The PC also will put on a BBQ to support the volunteers for the upcoming Working Bee on the afternoon of Sunday, 5 May. 

Mother’s Day at CJC

On 10 May from 7.45am to 9am we will run a Mother’s Day breakfast and during the day our popular mother’s day stall for students to purchase their mum a special gift.  Save the date – tickets will be available to purchase closer to the date. We are also looking for another Mother’s Day breakfast coordinator to join our strong team of Dads running the event and volunteers to assist on the day with the breakfast.  The PC needs tall glass jars for our flower bouquets (ideally Passata jars or taller jars – no short jam jars please). You can donate them next to the PC Clothing Donation box.

2nd Hand Uniform Stall: The next sale will run on Friday, 3 May from 8.45 until 9.30.  Cash and electronic sale available. 

Fête de la Musique: The PC plans to run a school disco to celebrate this event. 

CJC Parent’s Band: We have also formed a CJC Parent’s Band and the Band is looking for a keyboardist to join. The band has number of other talent musicians in its line-up including a bass guitar, guitar, singer, drummer and saxophone player. Send us an email to be put in touch. 

CJC Families Facebook Group: Did you know that we have a CJC Facebook Group called CJC Families?  The page is used to inform our community of CJC Events, sell 2nd hand uniform, find a babysitter and more. The page is private, and you must be a CJC community member and answer the questions to join. 

School Working Bee:  The next Working Bee is on Sunday, 5 May in the afternoon. The PC will put on a free BBQ in support of our volunteers. A list of key working bee items will be circulated by your Convenor ahead of time to make the afternoon as productive as possible. 

EFM - Call for Volunteers: The EFM provides a range of francophone services to our CJC community, including running the ever-popular EFM after school activities. The EFM is looking for additional volunteers to support the management of these programs and other programs. Joining the EFM IS a great way to deepen your francophone connections at CJC and beyond. Please contact president@efm.org.au if you can assist. 

Friday Treats:  Next term with cooler weather we will sell pain aux chocolate ($4) from Reverie Café after school from 3.30pm until 3.45pm. 

Gardening Club:  We also have some interested parents who would like to establish a CJC Parent Gardening Team to assist Madame Wilson’s STEM and Garden Program.  Contact us at caulfieldjuniorpc@gmail.com
