Prayer for our mothers

Please bless our mothers.

Ease their worry for the families you entrust to them, guide them in times of doubt, and hold them close when they are overwhelmed by both joy and sorrow.

May they know our deep gratitude for giving us life and love.

In union with Mary, we ask this through Jesus Christ, your Son.

Amen

Dear Families,

Tomorrow morning we will celebrate Mother's Day with our traditional breakfast from 7:30am in the library. This is a chance to say thank you to those special people who take care of us each day and for all of us to gather as a school community. We will have some breakfast treats and our coffee cart will be here to hand out hot drinks for all to enjoy. I hope as many of you who are able can come along and join us.

School Review Update

On Monday, our two school reviewers, Judi and Marita, joined us for the day to share their feedback on all our school's policies and documentation, especially in the area of child safety. All this documentation had to be reviewed by our school leaders and provided to the reviewers prior to their visit. The purpose of Monday's preliminary visit was to ensure that what was documented was also reflected in our classroom practice and physical spaces. Both Judi and Marita were very impressed with what they were able to read and then what they saw throughout the day. The review process will continue in a few weeks with two full day visits to enable Judi and Marita to speak with staff, parents and students to get a deeper understanding of our school's strengths, challenges and ultimately, areas for improvement which will form the basis of the final recommendations that we will incorporate into our next four year school improvement cycle.

Xavier Maytime Fair

A very special thank you to our friends at Xavier College for their generosity in hosting twenty of our children at last weekend's MAYTIME Fair. From what I have heard from Ms Antonella, who supervised our children on this excursion, it was a great success and a lot of fun was had by all. The MAYTIME Fair is such a great initiative with all proceeds from the day going directly towards supporting at-risk communities in over 10 countries in Asia and Africa, including Cambodia, Timor-Leste, India, Myanmar, Thailand, Malawi and more.
