Junior School

In Grade Prep/1, we have just finished a unit of work exploring weight and mass.  The students have had so much fun learning about hefting, creating our own scales, weighing items from around the classroom, ordering items by their weight and researching items that are large but light or small but heavy.  It is always wonderful to be 'hands on' with our learning and to be able to use resources at our disposal from our immediate environment.

Everyone is looking forward to our whole school maths day on Friday next week.  We are going to have an exciting time working our way through problem solving tasks, completing maths challenges, searching for treasure and enjoying heaps of maths related games and activities!
