Next Tuesday The Hampton Harmonies from year 4 5 and all of year 6 will attend OLIVER the Musical at BGS. We will leave here after recess and return at 3.30. Compass permissions close at the end of Friday so please check!

Our exciting news is that our OPTIONAL excursion is to the matinee of BEAUTY and the BEAST on Wednesday August 21st.  Students from Years 3 4 5 6 are invited to attend with the school and Year 2, 1:1 with their parent/caregiver. Students will travel to and from on private buses. Tickets will go on sale SOON!

Sport

Our annual House Cross Country Carnival was held on Tuesday 30th April down at the local Hampton Beach Foreshore and the atmosphere was electric as students from all houses laced up their running shoes and took to the trails with determination and gusto. A big thank you to the staff and parent volunteers who assisted with the course and the running of the event, and to the many spectators who were able to join us – THANK YOU! 

A special shoutout to our incredible students who not only showcased their athletic prowess but also embraced the fun by dressing up in vibrant colours and creative costumes to represent their house. A fantastic day was experienced by all! The Top 12 runners from each race will be going to represent Hampton PS at the Seaside District Cross Country on 15th May at Dendy Park. Good luck to all competitors!

SSV Futsal Competition

Congratulations to our Boys' Futsal Team, which competed in the SSV Primary Futsal Tournament on Wednesday 1st May. The team was undefeated all day until the finals, when they were defeated 1-0 in a very close game. Due to their excellent performance, the tournament organisers have invited the team to participate in the National competition later this year.

In addition to this, we have had 5 of the players selected to play for Victoria in the National School Futsal Championships this September. Congratulations to River B (GK), Woody W, Miles A, Freddie S and Callan J for being selected as state representatives. This is an amazing result and speaks to the quality of Futsal they played as a team. A BIG thank you to Ray & Fiona John, who made this team possible, and for all their organisation and coaching to support the team in these competitions.
