Welcome to Term Two

Term Two at Croydon Hills is filled with exciting experiences and learning programs.  This week I have enjoyed visiting learning areas and observed students engaging in physics learning in Science, warm and cold colour experimentation in ANZAC day-themed visual arts lessons, and rigorous letter/sound phonics and language studies in the early years classrooms.  I've also touched base with the Year 6 Camp group who are due home today from their Portsea Camp.

The Hon. Ben Carroll MP, Deputy Premier and Minister for Education has pre-recorded a short video message that welcomes parents and carers and speaks about the importance of the second school term for learning, along with a few helpful reminders.  I encourage all families to listen in.

All the Best Laura Yorke and Welcome Jayne Beith

Last term our highly valued and much loved PE teacher Laura Yorke shared with staff that she had a professional opportunity to join SALT as an educator and coach for the remainder of the year.  This is an exciting opportunity for Laura and we wish her well as she continues to positively influence young people in the health, wellbeing, and physical education field.

I invite all families to Monday's House Cross Country which will be an opportunity for the school community to pass on our well-wishes to Laura.

Experienced PE teacher Jayne Beith will join our team in Laura's place. Jayne taught PE at Kilberry Valley Primary School since 2015 before taking Maternity Leave in 2020. Welcome Jayne!

Prep 2025 Enrolment and Term 2 School Tours

In Term Two schools across the state begin the enrolment process for Prep in 2025.

I invite all siblings to contact the school to ensure the school has reserved a place for them in 2025.

New and existing families are invited to tour the school Tuesdays 9:30am, Wednesdays 12:30pm and Thursdays 9:30am.

For more information on enrolment, including eligibility information and critical dates, please visit the enrolments page of our school website.

Men Of The Hills (MOTHs) Term 2 Events

The school's MOTHs parent group, a group with a goal of engaging and involving male role models in the life of the school, is excited to share their Term 2 events.

As in the past, the group will look to host a mixture of dads and kids, and dads-only events.

NB: other male role models, or in the absence of a male role model, females, are welcome at all events.

Hope to see you there!
