Sushi Term 1 - Orders closing tomorrow at 11AM
Families have the chance to order sushi for their students each Friday at Pranzo (1pm).
Orders will be for sushi every Friday from 6 February - 27 March.
That is 7 weeks in total (no sushi on March 6th due to the Curriculum Day).
Orders will CLOSE THIS THURSDAY 5TH FEBRUARY AT 11AM.
NO orders will be taken after this date for Term 1.
Pay it Forward- We understand that the cost of living is only getting higher and some families within our community might be feeling that financial strain. For this term we will continue a ‘pay it forward’ option on the ordering pages for the school lunches that SKiPPA organises. If you can help contribute by donating, the money will go towards another student’s sushi order, who otherwise may have missed out due to economic circumstances.
Financial Support Option There are two options for those families that require financial support for sushi term 1. If you select this option please choose your type of sushi in the questions at the end.
If you take up the financial help sushi option, please know it is confidential and all orders will be handled equally.

We ask parents to also review the guidance we provide on how we use Google Workspace for Education safely at the school and what parents can do to further protect their child’s information.
If after reviewing the guidance, you have any questions or concerns regarding your child using Google Workspace for Education, please contact the school.

2026 School calendar
We know that one of the challenges for our school families is knowing when our many school activities and events are taking place.
From school camps, to curriculum days to graduation ceremonies we understand the challenges of co-ordinating these around our busy lives and the need to know this information a long way in advance.
For this reason, this year we encourage families to access our School calendar in Google calendar so you never miss a school event again.
Use this URL to access this calendar from a web browser.
- iCal format. Use this address to access this calendar from other applications.
The school calendar is also available via Compass.
On your Compass homepage, you will see the above 'day' calendar view, letting you know what is happening today. By toggling through the dates, you can also see what is coming up in the coming days.
By clicking on the calendar icon in the Compass toolbar, you will then have access to the entire 2026 calendar and can choose to view this in day, week, month, or term layout.
This will easily allow you to see when school photos, NAPLAN tests, school camps and end of term is taking place.
School Sport Victoria – Team Vic Representative Program
The School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic representative program provides an opportunity for Victoria’s emerging student athletes to compete against Australia’s best school-aged athletes at the annual School Sport Australia Championships.
Team Vic includes a wide range of sports, including athletics, basketball, cricket, cross country, football, golf, hockey, netball, swimming, tennis and many others. Full details, including sport-specific information, can be found on the SSV TeamVic website.
It is important for families to understand that this pathway is highly competitive and intended for students who are already performing at an advanced representative level beyond local competition. It is not a developmental, preparatory or “come and try” opportunity. Students trialling are typically competing at a high level outside of school and have demonstrated strong performance in their chosen sport.
Families who believe this pathway may be appropriate for their child are asked to contact Neil in the first instance to discuss suitability. Once approval is given by the school, families will register directly with School Sport Victoria.
Please note that for some sports, schools are limited to nominating up to three students, and if we receive more expressions of interest than places available, we may need to conduct in-school trials to determine nominations.
2026 Parent Payments
Like all government schools, each year SKiPPS sends home a request for a 'Parent Payment' to each family. These payments are an important part of how we resource the rich, engaging and well-supported learning experience that SKiPPS offers every child.
Government funding provides the essential baseline to operate a school, but it does not cover the many additional materials, activities and programs that help our students thrive.
Whilst voluntary, our Parent Payments allow us to offer the high quality learning experiences, excursions, incursions, specialist programs and classroom resources that families rightly expect from SKiPPS. In 2026, the amount we will be asking each family to pay is as follows;
- Foundation: $890
- Year 1: $875
- Year 2: $875
- Year 3: $920
- Year 4: $920
- Year 5: $860
Year 6: $860
This total includes:
- Curriculum Contributions, including all stationery, classroom books, art materials, online learning memberships and specialist subject resources
- All excursions, incursions, sports activities and Gala Days for the year
Voluntary contributions to support technology in classrooms, maintenance of our grounds and gardens, and tax-deductible donations to our Building and Library Funds
At SKiPPS, we deliberately purchase all required stationery and learning materials in bulk so that families do not need to order a separate booklist. This keeps costs down and ensures every student has high quality, consistent resources throughout the year.
Our payments also cover all excursions and incursions, which other schools often charge for separately.
Families will soon receive communications with a request for this payment. We are always happy to discuss payment plans for those families who would rather split the payment into instalments.
