A Positive Start to the Year

The first two weeks of Term 1 have been all about setting ourselves up for a positive year through our Positive Start-Up Program. We’ve been focusing on building strong relationships, setting clear expectations, and creating a classroom where everyone feels safe, supported, and ready to learn.

Students have absolutely loved getting to know one another through team-building activities and collaborative games. We’ve spent time talking about growth mindset, encouraging students to have a go, learn from mistakes, and feel proud of their effort. There has been lots of problem-solving, thinking, talking, and laughter along the way!

We’ve also enjoyed engaging in fun, hands-on maths tasks that allow students to work together, share ideas, and explain their thinking in a positive and supportive environment. It has been wonderful to see students settling into routines, building confidence, and showing such care and respect for one another.

We are so proud of the way students have started the year and the positive learning culture we are creating together. We are looking forward to continuing to build on these strong foundations as the year goes on.
