Let’s Spread Some Kindness – Join the Fun in Week 6! 💛

Hello everyone,

Next Tuesday was supposed to be Random Act of Kindness Day, but since the social committee only met last week (oops! 😅), we’ve decided to spread the kindness in Week 6 (Monday 02/03 – Friday 06/03).

Want to join in? It’s simple! You’ll be randomly assigned a colleague to surprise with a small act of kindness (or many). No need to spend money—just a thoughtful gesture to brighten their day!

Here are some easy ideas:

💌 Leave a handwritten note of appreciation

🎤 Give them a shout-out in the staff room or team meeting

🤝 Help out with a task or duty

😊 Leave an encouraging message on their desk

If you’d like to take part, sign up by filling out this survey before Friday 20/02 at 4pm (Week 4) so I can send you the details of your assigned person in time.

If you’re part-time, please also update this quick document so we know what days you’re around — we don’t want to accidentally surprise your empty desk.

Any dietary or allergy notes your person should know about? Update that same document

Let’s make our school an even happier place—one act of kindness at a time! 💕

Best,

The Social Committee

🔴 AEU Update on Ballot for Industrial Action 🔴

Voting in the ballot opened at 10:00am AEDT on Monday, 16 February 2026 and will conclude at 5:00pm AEDT on Thursday, 12 March 2026.

Members:

Please follow the link in your email sent today and select "YES" for all types of action, so that the negotiators have all types of industrial action in their "toolbox" for putting immediate pressure on the government. This does not mean that all off these actions will be taken, but will give our consent that members are OK for them to proceed. Specific details of actions to be taken will then be communicated if the majority vote was "YES".

New Members:

Our regional organiser, Matthew Burke, just confirmed that new members who joined in the last few days may have missed the cut-off for voting. This does not mean that your voice will not be heard. Please tell eligible members that they must vote "YES" to all types of action and you can jump on board once everything begins.

You will also have the right to vote in the final ballot of acceptance, once the new VGSA is drafted.

It's not too late to join us!

Thanks to everyone who has just joined - we are now 35 members strong at CPS!

Even if you have not joined yet, please strongly consider joining us now to support your colleagues throughout the negotiation. You can be part of the action, which is likely to include the proposed 24 hour stop work order on Tuesday March 24th. Click here to join.

Thanks for your support.
