In Loving Memory of Tae – Make a difference through Maddie’s Month
November is Maddie’s Month with Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision, we pause to remember and celebrate our beloved student, Tae Yoon. Tae was an extraordinary young person whose kindness, courage and quiet strength touched everyone who knew him. His spirit continues to be felt across our classrooms and playgrounds, reminding us daily of the power of compassion and resilience.
We hold Tae and his family close in our hearts, and we stand with them in supporting research and awareness for Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes. Tae’s memory continues to inspire us to live with hope, courage and love, just as he did every day.
Throughout November, when people purchase Tomatoes and Capsicums in boxes with the purple logo at Coles, 15 cents from each purchase will go towards Maddie’s Vision.
Maddie’s Vision has been an incredible support to Tae’s family. They supported the doctors involved in the research behind Tae’s diagnosis and their Telehealth nurse was with Tae Yoon and his family throughout the entire journey and still is today.
Maddie’s Vision mainly funds research to ultimately find a cure and they also support patients of all ages, ensuring that no one feels isolated during their journey.
A message from Amy Coote, the CEO of Maddie Riewoldt's Vision: This November marks ten years of Maddie’s Month, a national campaign raising awareness and vital funds for Australians living with Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes.
This cause is close to our hearts, as we remember Tae, an incredible young man whose courage continues to inspire our community. His legacy lives on through his family and through every effort to find better treatments and, ultimately, a cure.
You can support Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision this month by picking up Flavorite’s specially marked packs of Mini Tomatoes, Mini Capsicums, or Vine Ripened Cherry Tomatoes at Coles - with 15c from every pack donated to support life-changing research and vital support services for patients and their families.
This year’s goal is to raise $100,000, taking the total funds raised through Maddie’s Month to an incredible $1 million.
Together, we can help create a future where no family faces Bone Marrow Failure Syndromes alone.
