Foundation Excursion - Twisted Science
Last Friday, our Foundation students set off on their very first school excursion to Twisted Science in Moorabbin! The excitement was high as everyone eagerly climbed aboard the bus, ready for a day of discovery and fun.
When we arrived, the students listened carefully to the safety briefing before splitting into class groups for their activities. Foundation R began by exploring the interactive exhibits, where students were encouraged to touch, investigate, and be curious about how things work. Foundation C took part in a workshop called Mix and Match, where they learned about chemicals and mixtures, and explored the differences between physical and chemical reactions. It was a fantastic, hands-on learning experience that had everyone fully engaged and asking great questions.
After a quick snack break, the classes swapped activities, giving everyone the chance to experience both the workshop and the exhibits. Once we had enjoyed lunch together, it was time to hop back on the bus for the journey back to school - tired but full of new discoveries!
Overall, it was a wonderful day that was both educational and fun. The students represented our school beautifully, showing great curiosity, teamwork, and enthusiasm throughout the day. The Foundation teachers were so proud of how well the students participated and behaved.

1/2's excursion to CERES
On the 24th October, the 1/2s went on an excursion to CERES where students learnt about urban farming. Students explored garden beds to find different creatures and hold worms. They created their own biodegradable pot; made out of newspaper. They also planted a seed. They also investigated vegetable patches to find different types of vegetables and looked at a bee colony.
