Orientation Day

This Friday we welcome our new Pre-Kinder, Kindergarten and Year 1 to Year 5 students and families to our beautiful school for Orientation Day. Teachers are excitedly preparing a fun day for the students with the afternoon finishing with a new parent's afternoon tea in the Glasshouse.

Remembrance Day

On Remembrance Day, we honour and remember those who have served and sacrificed in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping operations. It is a time to reflect on the bravery and dedication of our armed forces and to acknowledge the profound impact their service has had on our lives and freedoms. Junior School tolled the bell three times and observed a minute’s silence to honour and remember those who have given their lives.

Intensive Swimming K-2

Our intensive swimming program for Kindergarten to Year 2 is currently underway and will continue each day for the next two weeks. All students will participate in one, 30-minute lesson per day throughout the school day with qualified Learn to Swim instructors in our fabulous swimming pool. The purpose of these sessions is to develop water confidence, survival skills and some stroke technique. Learning to swim equips children with a vital life skill that enhances their safety, fitness, and confidence in and around water.

Junior School Speech Day

The Junior School would like to invite all families to share in Junior School Speech Day, Wednesday 3 December. Doors to the DPA will open at 9:15am for a 9:30am start.

Speech Day is a compulsory school event.

Students are required to be in immaculate full school uniform including blazer.

Students are to arrive at school by 8:45am and will meet in their class for roll marking and further information.

At the conclusion of the ceremony students and families are welcome to join us in the Glasshouse for a light morning tea before being dismissed at 12.30pm by signing out with their classroom teacher.  This event is a real celebration as we showcase highlights from across the year as well as acknowledging the efforts of many of our students.

Please be sure to read the Technology Update in this edition of the Bulletin - it contains important information that impacts junior student devices.

Outstanding Achievement – Lincoln Morley

In very exciting news, Lincoln Morley in Year 3 has been chosen as a finalist in the Wild at Art competition. Held by the Australian Conservation Fund, this competition aims to raise awareness of threatened and endangered Australian species.

Lincoln created an artwork of the Black Cockatoo in a Black Sheoak tree and was chosen out of 5000 entries as a finalist. With the awards ceremony being held at the end of the month, we await patiently to find out if he will be a winner. There is also a people's choice award that can be voted for here.
