Prefects' Update

Hello friends and families of Kinross Wolaroi!
We are all excited to represent the student body through the end of 2025 into 2026. Every fortnight, you will be able to find our news and stories from around the school on this page. For this week, we would like to take the opportunity to introduce ourselves as your student leaders for the next 12 months.
Ivy Askew - Head Prefect
Hello, my name is Ivy Askew, I’m a boarder from Sydney and I am the middle sibling of two brothers. I really enjoy learning Biology, being involved in sport including water polo and hockey and being part of the Cadet Unit as a Company Commander. Since arriving at Kinross Wolaroi at the beginning of this year, I have noticed the school’s strong sense of community and inclusivity which is something I hope to continue to foster during my time in this role.
Angus Hunt - Head Prefect
Hi, my name is Angus Hunt, and I am a boarder from Cootamundra, with a younger sister in Year 9. Since starting at Kinross Wolaroi in 2023, sport, particularly rugby, and more recently rowing, have become big part of my life, and I love the feeling of putting in the effort alongside my teammates to achieve success. As someone who struggled with the transition into boarding and a new school, but has come to thrive in it, I am passionate about building the school’s rich culture and creating a positive environment that promotes the success of all.
Julia Bligh - Deputy Head Prefect
Hello, my name is Julia, I am a day student, and I have been at Kinross Wolaroi for nine years now. I am the eldest of two, my little brother is also at Kinross Wolaroi in Year 10. I enjoy getting involved in sports like netball and running. I also enjoy playing the piano, and my favourite subject is Legal Studies. I am excited to further improve the culture of our wonderful school, and I hope to be someone people can come to and look to for advice.

Growing up in the town of Orange I have developed a love for sport and especially a strong passion for this school. I greatly enjoy playing rugby and cricket. In 2025, I’m looking to continue to build a strong and passionate school spirit by supporting the school and encouraging students to get involved in all activities.
Lucy Philipzen - Head Girl Boarder
Hello, my name is Lucy Philipzen and I am a boarder from a small town called Eugowra. I have an older brother who also attended Kinross Wolaroi. I have been at the school since Year 7 and am currently in Loader House. I have always loved being a boarder and getting involved in activities on the weekend or hanging out in the House after school. I love playing sports such as hockey and basketball and enjoy cooking in Hospitality. I look forward to meeting as many people as possible and becoming a familiar face that anyone can come and talk to.

Jackson Davis – Head Of Cadets
Hi, my name is Jackson Davis, I’m a day student and the eldest of two at Kinross Wolaroi, with a sister in Year 10. I enjoy learning chemistry and am involved with rugby, rowing and cadets. I’m the SUO of cadets which means I get to plan and lead the unit throughout the 2025/26 year. I look forward to working with the cadet team to further improve cadets and the participation of cadets progressing through the ranks. I really love Kinross Wolaroi and am looking forward to working with the other prefects and seeing what we can achieve.
Over this next year, we hope to build on the positive culture that we all love about Kinross Wolaroi School, and to foster and strengthen relationships across the school. More to come from us!
