Last week was a busy and exciting time for our students, with several key events showcasing their enthusiasm and leadership.
Year 4 students attended camp in the beautiful Blue Mountains, enjoying a range of outdoor and team-building activities.

Our IPSHA Debating Team proudly represented Kinross Wolaroi School in Sydney, demonstrating excellent communication and critical thinking skills.

Year 6 Badged Leaders participated in the NAIDOC Street March, showing their support and respect for Indigenous culture and community.
We sincerely thank our students and staff for their outstanding representation and commitment across these events.
This week our second group of students set off on camp, we extend our best wishes to our Year 3 students as they embark on what is likely their first overnight camp experience. We hope it’s a time filled with fun, learning, and lasting memories. Thank you to Mrs Caro, Miss Moloney, Mr Barrett and Ms Dodson, for supporting Year 3 on this exciting journey.
This week, the School began sending SMS alerts to families when a student absence had been recorded without explanation. To assist with this process, we kindly ask families to log any partial or full-day absences via the Hub App before 9:00am on the day of the absence.
If no notification has been received and a student is marked absent, parents will receive an SMS alert.
Your support in helping us manage student attendance is greatly appreciated. Please continue to notify us of absences through the Hub App. For extended leave applications please apply through junioroffice@kws.nsw.edu.au.
Our Year 6 students transitioning to Year 7 have embraced the experiences with gusto and enthusiasm during week 1 and week 2 of the program. Their positive engagement has set a wonderful tone for the weeks ahead.

Ava’s Martial Arts Success

We are thrilled to share the incredible achievements of Ava following her recent competitions at the Australian Open on 28 September and the ISKA AMA World Championships held in Brisbane last week.
The Australian Open welcomed over 600 athletes, while the international championships hosted more than 1,300 competitors across a range of martial arts disciplines. Ava competed with focus and determination, winning gold in all her events for both Traditional Forms and Three-Person Synchronised Traditional Forms.
Her success is a testament to the dedication, discipline, and hard work she has shown throughout the year. On top of her many other commitments, Ava has quietly excelled in six State and National competitions, earning gold in all but one, where she placed third.
We are incredibly proud of Ava and commend her for her outstanding representation of Kinross Wolaroi School. Congratulations on these remarkable achievements!
At Kinross Wolaroi we value and strive for academic rigor. Students have a myriad of opportunities to engage in enriching learning experiences which in some instances the School provides or facilitates student access to them. Please share with us your child’s interest, passions, and achievements by emailing junioroffice@kws.nsw.edu.au
