Junior School

On Thursday the 20 November, Grade 1/2L went on an excursion to Scienceworks as a part of our Inquiry unit on space. To start the day, the students explored the 'Think Ahead' section of museum where they explored different types of technology, including how transport has changed over time, sustainability and of course, space exploration!

The students were then treated to two special shows in the planetarium. The first show followed a dog named Tycho as he travelled to Mars and explored different locations n mars and met one of the rovers. The second show looked at the night sky for that very night, as we learnt how to identify planets and constellations.

It was a wonderful day out that was rich with experimentation and discovery. We want to say a big THANK YOU to the parent helpers that were able to come along and support us on this excursion. The Grade 1/2s were phenomenal and we hope that they came home excited, tired and filled with stories!
