Remembrance Day
On Tuesday, we acknowledged Remembrance Day, which was a day for us to remember those who have served and those who have died in all wars and peacekeeping operations. It was nice to see so many students from our school taking part in the official ceremony in town or attending to show their resect.

The Ode
They shall grow not old,
as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them,
nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
and in the morning
We will remember them.
Lest we forget.
T20 Cricket
We extend our best wishes to our T20 cricketers who travel to Swan Hill tomorrow to compete in the regional event. We look forward to hearing all about it when they return to school.

Term 4
We know that Term 4 is one of the busiest times of the school year but it is hard to believe we are just over halfway. We’ve had a wonderful start with plenty of celebrations and successes already, and there’s still so much more to look forward to so please keep an eye out on XUNO for all of the up-to-date information and dates for the following events:

Parent Payments:
To provide high-quality programs, our school relies heavily on the financial support of our community. These contributions fund essential items such as stationery, classroom materials, digital learning subscriptions, student devices, and photocopying. School funding is a complex topic that could fill an entire newsletter. We sincerely thank our families for your ongoing financial support, enabling us to resource the high standard of school experience delivered at RPS.
Prep Transition session
We are excited to welcome our 2026 Prep students for their upcoming classroom transition days over the next two weeks. These sessions will give our future Preps further opportunities to familiarise themselves with their new learning environment, meet some of our staff, and connect with future peers. We look forward to supporting them as they begin their journey at our school.
Whole School Transition Day
The State-wide Transition Day falls on Tuesday 9th December this year. On this day our students from Grades 1 to 6 will step up to their new grade for the day and meet their new teacher for next year. Our 2026 Preps will also be joining us on this day for a half day. Please mark this day in your calendar.
Personal Belongings
The Department of Education (which includes the school) does not offer insurance for the replacement of personal items which are brought to school and are lost, broken or stolen. Sentimental or expensive belongings and toys, including sports equipment and electronic devices, are normally best left at home. Whilst every effort is made to ensure items are not taken or misplaced, students are encouraged not to bring items of value to school.
Christmas Raffle
Don't forget to collect and sell some tickets for our Christmas Raffle (formally known as Monster Raffle). Thanks to Nichol Trading for their generous donation of all 3 RBN vouchers. We have 10 prizes in total and the raffle will be drawn at our End of year Assembly on Tuesday 16th December (save the date)! Please contact the office to collect a book of tickets or buy a single ticket.Tickets are in books of 5 and are $5 each. Any unsold tickets must be returned.
