Students in FS created a commemorative art work surrounded by poppies for Rememberance Day.
Lest we Forget.

Sami and Monique De C from Year 3 and Year 1 respectively got a headstart on their FAIR fundraising and sold books at their garage sale to raise money for the school. They raised $18! Way to go girls - you are both superstars.

After reading and unpacking “In Flanders Fields” by John McCrae, students created symbolic black-and-red illustrations inspired directly by the poem’s imagery. Each artwork reflects the emotion, sacrifice, and remembrance conveyed through McCrae’s words, bringing the text to life visually as part of our class display.

Our Grade 1 students had an exciting visit from Swinburne University for a hands-on Science incursion on 13th November! The children explored how light travels in straight lines and discovered that sound moves through vibrations in the air. They also experimented with lasers and mirrors to see how light can be reflected and refracted. It was a fun experience to finish up our Science unit on Light and Sound and we hope it inspired our young scientists to keep exploring the world around them!
