YEAR 10
The Year 10 cohort has had an excellent year so far. Watching them mature over the year has been pleasant to watch. It is a year level with such a variety of personalities that are never too busy to stop and have a chat!
The Year 10's were seasoned professionals with their Semester 1 exams going off without a hitch. And before that, many of the 10's and their families made the time to either attend our Year 11 VCE/VM Information Night, Course Counselling Day, or both.
They ended the semester with the students venturing out to some offsite learning. Our Year 10 cohort completed their work experience in a variety of places from the RSPCA to the local to primary schools to the police academy. It was a proud moment to hear the excellent feedback the various workforces gave our kids.
YEAR 9
Our Year 9s had an epic end to the semester when they embarked on the City Experience week. This saw students find their way in and home from the CBD each day. They attended various outings that gave them the opportunity to experience some great cultural and historic events that the Melbourne City has on offer. They attended iMax, the State Library, the Museum as well as worked within their groups to make their way around the city on a scavenger hunt.
I was lucky enough to spend the first two days of their excursion with them. I feel immensely privileged to attend this event with our students.
Our kids are always so respectful and friendly, and make the days so fun for all.
A special thanks to Sherridan Cox for the amazing job she did at organising such a fun-filled and educational few days for our kids. An experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.
YEAR 8
The Year 8's have settled into their classes and have bonded strongly with their classmates. I have seen them really establish some good work practices and find their rhythm with their school work and CLTs.
The students (and their parents) recently selected their elective subjects for 2026, and it was great to see how serious they all took it. Many families attended the Subject Selection Information Night held virtually by the school, and it helped make the selection process run smoothly.
YEAR 10 METEC Driver Education
Facing their fears and testing their nerve, our year 10 students, under the guidance of METEC’s accredited professional instructors, navigated real world traffic features in dual controlled vehicles. Manoeuvring round the 5km ‘closed road’ facility, students experienced a range of traffic obstacles ranging from intersections, crossings, traffic lights, roundabouts, hairpin bends, paved and gravel surfaces, parking bays etc. A nerve raking but exciting day was had be all.
Student’s Quotes:
- What!...I can drive a manual!
- Being a passenger, Is Scary!
- SO WORTH IT!!
- MIH…(Mirrors, Indicator, Head Check.)
- Instructors made it really fun…SO CHILLED!
- Highly Recommend the Day!

YEAR 7
What a wonderful time Term 3 has been for our awesome students.
Throughout the term, we hosted the Grade 5s for high school style 'Taste Tester' mornings from a host of our feeder primary schools, including: Kangaroo Ground PS; Warrandyte PS; Research PS; Anderson's Creek PS and Wonga Park PS.
A plethora of awesome Year 7s (who attended each of the visiting primary schools) assisted as tour guides and classroom helpers on each of these mornings.
What a wonderful job they did!
How excited the Grade 5 students were to see their friends from primary school as happy Year 7 students at Warrandyte High School!
Equally wonderful was seeing so many Year 7 students performing in our 2025 Musical Production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. Check out the page in this iNewsletter specifically dedicated to our hugely successful production!
