Celebrating Learning

Kii everyone, 

Last week we finished our maths main lesson on Queen Arraya. The kids were very invested in the story, and this was clearly demonstrated in their high level of engagement and understanding. 

We have now moved on to a literacy main lesson - Saintly Lives. This week they heard the story of St Francis, which resulted in a mini class play retell, some fantastic character mapping and finally a descriptive piece of writing about the story. This main lesson will continue for the next three weeks and they will hear different stories of people from the past who did kind and courageous deeds to benefit those less fortunate. 

We have moved into a maths focused practice time. This week we consolidated some of the learning from the main lesson and next week we are looking at different problem solving strategies. We will also continue our maths fast facts during practice time.
