Celebrating Learning

Old Tommy was a Piper’s son

He learned to play when he was young

But the only tune that he could play

Was over the hills and far away

Young Timmy was a Woodcutter’s son

He learned to care when he was young

And all the love that he did share

Blew over the fields and everywhere

Over the hills and a long way off

The wind shall blow my goose feather’s off…

Welcome back to term 3. We have been singing and dancing, sharing and caring and playing recorder. We enjoyed NAIDOC day, especially the smoking ceremony, clay painting, DJ and dancing.

Our new main lesson has begun with the return of Una, Decie and Centie bravely venturing outside their Fairy Queendom in search of the four processes guided by the Womes with their enchanting hats and symbols. Addison Wome, Subtracto Wome, Multiplicity Wome and Dividity Wome have lots of Number Magic and helpful tricks to share with the fairy children.

In English we have been learning about double letter friends found within or at the end of words such as "ll", "ff" and "ss" (hill, off and dress). We continue to create our own ditties and stories with our sounds of the day and enjoy drawing these as well.

We continue to enjoy creating and sharing our ideas and learning through clay, water painting, beeswax and play.
