2025 NAPLAN

NAPLAN results were released earlier this term with all students undertaking this year’s assessments receiving an individual report on their achievement.

The relative growth results are particularly pleasing with the school performing well above schools with similar enrolment characteristics in most areas. Relative growth measures the growth of each student between Year 3 and Year 5, comparing their results to the results of Victorian students that achieved the same NAPLAN score in Year 3. The relative growth of each student is sorted into three categories - low, medium and high. Relative growth is a  measure of how well a school is able to meet the needs of students regardless of their starting point. All classes have students with a range of proficiency and diverse needs. All teachers have to contend with the challenge of making sure all students are making progress. The percentage of students in high and medium growth is a measure of how well a school is differentiating instruction. The more effectively you differentiate instruction, the higher the percentage of students with high and medium relative growth.

The image below compares our results to schools with similar student demographics, the Yarr/Darebin network schools and the state average. The column graph represents our school’s relative growth results over the past 3 years.

Parent/Caregiver/Guardian Opinion Survey

Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey offered by the Department of Education and is seeking your feedback. The survey is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behaviour, and student engagement. The survey is optional, but we encourage and appreciate your participation.

Our school will use the survey results to assist in identifying areas for improvement and professional development needs in the school, to target school planning and improvement strategies.

The Parent / Caregiver / Guardian Opinion Survey will be open online from Monday 18 August to Friday 19 September 2025.

All families are invited to participate in the survey
