Year 6 Exhibition – Learning Together
The Year 6 PYP Exhibition is the culmination of our students’ primary years, where they take on a significant, collaborative inquiry into an issue or opportunity they care about. It is a very important event – a bridge from the PYP to the Middle Years Programme (MYP). The PYPX is a chance for students to demonstrate the skills, knowledge, and attitudes they have developed throughout their PYP journey in a meaningful, authentic context.
This year, our central idea is: The arts and media can empower and inspire action.
Students are combining their passions with the UN Sustainable Development Goals to create rich lines of inquiry. From these, they are exploring big ideas, asking deep questions, and working to make a positive difference.
We would love for our parent community to be part of this journey. Your knowledge, skills, and connections can inspire and guide our learners.

PYP Tour - Sharing our Learning
Earlier this week, we welcomed teachers from Geelong Lutheran College for a PYP classroom tour. Our visitors observed how students engage with inquiry-based learning and share their knowledge across different units.
“I loved it because we could share our learning and knowledge with confidence. It was great to talk about our journey so far. Forming our own line of inquiry is very cool because we get to lead the learning and research for more information. We had to choose reliable sources and be discerning.”

“It was fun to expand our knowledge and make connections from the beginning of school up until now. It’s cool to reflect on how all the learning over the years has led to the ability to apply these skills independently in our current unit. One visitor asked how we aim to excel in our work. I realised we need to make sure we’ve covered everything on the rubric and make our connections and understandings detailed and visible for others.”
