Foundation Learning Community

Wow, what an amazing start to the year we have had in Foundation. We are so proud of our students. They have been learning lots about the routines and expectations of school whilst having fun playing with their buddies and learning many Pevan & Sarah songs. 

This week we met Milo the Monkey - Milo is our character who helps the children learn about letters and sounds. Over the coming weeks we will be adding more animals to your child’s keyring and they can practise these sounds at home. 

Your child will have a new sticker on their home reading journal that will state what day of the week their check in day is. On this day we would love to see your child before the bell so we can check in with them, whether that be a wellbeing check or more of a learning focus. This day will also be the day that your child has Show and Tell. If you’re child’s check in day is currently a Wednesday they will be able to do their Show and Tell on a Tuesday or Thursday until they are at school full time. 

We also encourage fruit or brain foods to be packed in a separate container to make it easier for the children at fruit time. Thank you for your support with this.
