Swimming Carnival 

Years 7-10

The weather this week is indicative of the hot competition expected next week during the Year 7-10 PCG Swimming Carnivals. 

Carnivals are held at the Curtis Aquatic Centre. Parents and guardians are warmly welcomed to attend as the students give their all in the pool for their respective PCG’s in pursuit of year group glory.

Friends of Basketball 3x3 Competition

As Michael Jordan once said “Just play. Have fun. Enjoy the game." This is exactly what the ballers did on Friday afternoon at the first event held for The Trinity Friends of Basketball.

Basketball was the love language as 10 teams competed fiercely in the 3x3 tournament with tunes pumping in the sports centre. With only 1 point separating the teams in the remaining seconds of the final it made for a nail-biter with the Cougars winning against the Pistons 11 to 10.

The end of the afternoon was celebrated with a game of bump, pizza and Powerade. The event could not have been possible without the amazing efforts of the 1sts basketball team with the boys scoring and umpiring the games and throwing out a few tech fouls - just because they could.  A big thank you to the parents and students cheering on their teams, to the volunteers that helped make the event a success and of course to the fabulous sponsors STREET X that donated $400 to first prize, Aether Care, Soulsby Barbers, Adventure World, Old Boy- Jack Gillespie and Matagurup Bridge Zip Climb. We hoop to see you all again next tournament.
