P&F

Welcome to 2024.  The term is already flying by with camps starting next week.

The HT P&F AGM is on next week, 6th March from 630pm in the Senior library.  If you would like to join the committee, head along and put your hand up. All positions open on the night and we officially induct the 2024 committee.

2023 Wrap Up

2023 was a massive year for the P&F as we were getting back into the world full time again. The P&F ran or helped with:

  • Welcome BBQ
  • Cinema under the Stars
  • Mothers Day Brekkie
  • Trivia Night
  • Production Candy Bar
  • Honey Drive
  • Australian Debating Championships
  • Fathers Day Brekkie
  • Pie Drive
  • 75th Annual Ball Games
  • World Teachers Day Morning Tea
  • Christmas Carols – what a blast

It was crazy busy at times but the great committee all chipped in and met every challenge head on. Thanks to all for the support, helping hands and getting behind our initiatives.  Without the great HT community, we wouldn’t be able to have as much fun as we do.

Welcome Picnic BBQ

We had the Welcome BBQ on the 17th of February and we set some new records:

  • 536 sausages cooked
  • 26 loaves of bread
  • 90 Samosas
  • 80 Spring Rolls
  • 6kg of Onions
  • 41 bags of fairy floss
  • 50 bags of chips
  • 23 popcorn machines full – that’s a lot
  • 60L of cordial
  • 30L of water
  • 96 icy poles
  • Heaps of lollies
  • 20L of Milk in coffees and Hot Chocolates

This was a massive event with so many moving parts, but as is the HT way, we all pulled up our sleeves and had a roaring good time. Thanks need to go out to the committee who worked tirelessly on the BBQs, popcorn machine, air fryer and serving the crowds.  Thank You heaps to the students who ran the coffee cart (it was busier than my Degraves St coffee shop), the wonderful PAC staff who set up all the Sound and Stages, and a big thanks to the music department who helped organize the entertainment.

To all those performers who got on stage, well done, and thank you.  My favourite was the jazz group near the end with Mr Mowat, could you guess what they played?  I thought it was Easy.

Hot Cross Bun Drive

We launched the hot cross bun drive at the Welcome BBQ and you don’t have long to get your orders in, so get busy ordering.  We have teamed up again with Emerald Village Bakery as there food is amazing.  By supporting this drive you are helping us put on things like the Welcome BBQ and also helping us fund initiatives within the school. Ordering is simple via Trybooking HERE.

Last year funds went to charity donations, the drama department and we have a little left that we shall allocate shortly.  I will keep you updated.
