Wellbeing & Culture

WELCOME BACK EVERYONE!

Such a great start to the year, and its wonderful seeing all the students settling in well to their new classrooms.

I just thought that I would introduce myself, I am Kelly Goodgame and I am new to the Wellbeing Team this year.

You might have seen me around last year as I have been in a few classrooms working with different students and helping out.  This year you will continue to see me in and around the school in different rooms and I will be in the Wellbeing room on Wednesdays.

I am really looking forward to working in the Wellbeing team. Some of the things that I will be doing around the school this year includes:

  • Running Wellbeing programs like Helping Hands and Peaceful Kids.
  • Checking in with a few students as a 1 on 1 basis as the situations arise.
  • Creating a safe space for the students to feel comfortable in coming to me when it is needed.
  • Discussing wellbeing concerns with parents and carers as they arise and come up with the best strategies to suit your child.
  • Working with the other Wellbeing team, teachers, staff, and parents/carers to find the best wellbeing approach to work with the students and the school.

My email is: Kelly. goodgame@education.vic.gov.au.  If you have any concerns or questions that are Wellbeing related, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will get back to you as soon as I can.  Also feel free to say hi if you see me around the school, or pop into the Wellbeing office on Wednesdays to have a chat.

In the Wellbeing team you will also find Cheyenne Mason.  She reintroduced herself in the newsletter last week, in case you missed it!  You will find Cheyenne on-site Monday through to Friday and you can contact her on Cheyenne.Mason@education.vic.gov.au if you feel there is anything she can help you with.
