Principal Reflections
From the Principal - Alison
Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,
Welcome to St Edward's School for 2024! To all current families, welcome back. We trust you have enjoyed a wonderful Christmas and summer holiday with your children. To all our new families, we welcome you to the St Edward's school community and hope the start of your journey here at St Edward's is a happy and prosperous one. We look forward to working with all our beautiful children to improve our focus on student-centred learning, in a fun and safe environment.
We have made a great start in spite of the heat. Teachers have spent considerable time today talking to their students about our expectations in alignment with the Living Well Learning Well Framework. Quite simply, we have high standards in manners, conduct and the way we interact with others and always working in class to the very best of their potential and allowing our teachers and staff to do their job - which is quality teaching.
Our Vision for the year is simple:
With Christ as our guide, we aspire for our staff and students to be the best versions of themselves as we develop the capacity to make a positive difference in our world.
We ask for your support in helping us to maintain these standards across our school community by ensuring your child presents each day in their St Edward's school uniform, with a healthy lunchbox and water bottle and that good manners are consistently reinforced at home.
It gives me great pleasure to introduce you to the wonderful staff who will care for and educate your child throughout 2024.
