We acknowledge the Wurundjeri elders and their people who looked after the land
we live on now.
We play, tell stories, rest, connect, learn together and care for each other’s happiness.
As school leaders, we respect our local history and work together to respect each other.
*This acknowledgement of Country was developed and written by our School Leaders, 2026*
During Term Two, we began developing our Student Voice Council. At our week 5 assembly, our 2026 Student Voice Council was presented to our school community. These are nominated and selected students from across our school. Apart from the three Foundation classes, each class has a SVC representative.
The SVC will run similar to a JSC, with the main focus on including Student Voice into a range of aspects of school life. They will represent the voice of USPS stduents in relation to choice of school activities, school wide celebrations, fundraising ideas and giving suggestions linked to supporting the curriculum.
Each fortnight, Mrs Stjerne and Mrs Hobson, will meet with all the SVC representatives and hold their fortnightly meeting. Agendas are set and minutes are written up. Our SWPBL school leaders are also part of this council. Support will be given to our junior representatives when reporting back to their classess, this will be done by our SWPBL school leaders - Ella, Natalie, Esme and Adelle.

Congratulations to all our 2026 student leaders. During the year you will see our leaders participate in a range of roles and responsibilities.
They will be supporting students and teachers during special events, undertaking tasks linked specifically to their leadership role.
