Chaplain's Chat

What does it mean to be an Anglican school?

Term 3 is all about Ordinary Time in the life of the Anglican Church, which is time set aside to explore the story of the people of God.  We begin with St. James Day and finish the term with the Season of Creation.

St. James Day

We held a special Primary Chapel to learn about the Apostle James as a courageous and faithful follower of Jesus. Students were invited to follow James in following Jesus by serving others through Samaritan’s Purse’s Operation Christmas Child.

Secondary students explored Jesus’ call to live lives of service to others, drawn from Matthew 20, during their assembly. In the tutor group, they reflected on the value of slowing down by learning about the pilgrimage in Spain inspired by James, known as the Camino. Pilgrim Prayer

Lord Jesus Christ,

Be for us our companion on the walk, Our guide at the crossroads, Our breath in our weariness, Our protection in danger, Our shelter on the journey, Our shade in the heat, Our light in the darkness, Our comfort in our discouragements, And our strength in our intentions. Amen.

Friends of Faith – Parent Prayer Opportunity

A group of parents, grandparents, and friends of the school meet regularly throughout the term to pray for our school community. You are warmly invited to join us at the school on the dates listed below. Please come to Reception at 8:30 am to sign in, and you will be directed to our place of prayer for that day. All are welcome—across all denominations, and even those who are simply curious.
