Social and Emotional Intervention Programs
We are excited to share that many students have successfully completed their social and emotional intervention programs from Terms 1 and 2. For the remainder of the year, we have several new groups of students across the school participating in these valuable programs.
Our social skills programs, including "What's the Buzz?", "5 Point Scale", and "A 5 is Against the Law", are designed to explicitly build students' social and emotional skills. These programs cover important topics such as friendships, winning and losing, identifying feelings, handling worry, social boundaries, and more.
For students who have been selected for the program, parents will receive further information this week, including a parent consent form. We kindly ask that parents return the consent form by Monday, 28 July 2025 (Week 2), so that groups can be finalised and ready to start as soon as possible.
If you have any questions or would like further information, please feel free to speak to Jade Mattin (Deputy Principal).
Gardening Lessons continue in Term 3
We're thrilled to let you know that our popular gardening lessons with Ms Dilanjali are back for Term 3! Every class will have the chance to explore the garden, and lessons will go ahead rain or shine! If the weather doesn't cooperate, we'll bring the learning indoors.
This term, we'll be digging into soil-related topics while continuing our exciting projects from Term 2. Here's a sneak peek at what your children will be learning each week:
Week | Focus |
---|---|
1 & 2 | Exploring different soil types and fun ‘Soil Safari’ experiments |
3 & 4 | Discovering how to harvest and create compost |
5 & 6 | Learning about leaf structure and how leaves decompose |
7 & 8 | Exploring the fascinating world of worms and their benefits |
9 & 10 | Celebrating Soil Week Australia 2025 with special presentations |
We look forward for another term of gardening fun and learning!
This is a great resource to bring out the rich learning that happens at school from your children at the end of the day.
