40 Hour Famine Challenge

Dear Parents and Guardians,
The King’s College is proud to once again support the 40 Hour Famine in partnership with World Vision this year.
Throughout Weeks 6 and 7, across both the Primary and Secondary schools, we will be running a series of activities to highlight the challenges faced by children in underprivileged countries and to remind us how blessed we are here in Australia.
As part of this initiative, students will be taking part in “40 Acts of Kindness” - small, meaningful actions designed to make a positive difference in our community. Some acts may be completed at home, so don’t be surprised if your child is extra helpful around the house! In secondary, the different acts will be completed by each PC class on the sheet provided, and at the end of Week 7, we’ll draw a winning PC to celebrate their efforts.
Our 40 Hour Famine campaign is now well underway and will conclude with two celebratory events:
- Primary School Daytime Disco Party | Friday 29 August
- Whole School Sausage Sizzle | Wednesday 3 September (Orders can be placed via the QKR app until Thursday 28th August 2025)

Please do not hesitate to contact Mrs. Christine Clark (christinec@tkc.wa.edu.au) in Primary or Mrs. Karin Au (karina@tkc.wa.edu.au) in Secondary if you have further queries. We are excited to see our students engage in this meaningful cause and look forward to your support in making a difference.
