Armidale Catholic Schools Diocesan Athletics Carnival - 2025 - THIS WEEK!

The diocesan athletics carnival will be held in Tamworth this Thursday the 7th of August at the Tamworth Regional Athletics Centre located off Jack Smyth Drive, Tamworth. Here is a basic run down of the day and a few messages from the ACS Sports Coordinator. I will also attach the link to the 2025 program. 

Order of Events 2025

8:00am Team Managers may collect programs8:15am MANAGERS MEETING

(all team managers must be in attendance) Officials Meeting

8:30am Officials Meeting

8:30am 2 reps per school with School Flag report to Greg O’Toole at the 100m start

Welcome & Opening Ceremony(Acknowledgement of Country & Prayer)

8:45am Girls 800m and the first round of Field Events marshalled

9:00am Events commence

3:00pm Events conclude and Diocesan Team is announced.

A message from Heidi Hardaker (ACS Sports Coordinator)

Weather: As you may be aware, a number of our communities have been or will be affected by flooding due to the current weather conditions. This may affect the ability of some of our families to travel safely to Tamworth for our Primary and Secondary carnivals. We will make an informed decision regarding both carnivals by Wednesday at 9:00 am. We want to ensure that we have the most accurate information to make an informed decision about keeping our students, staff, and families safe. This decision will be sent to all schools via email, as well as posted on our ACS Primary and Secondary Sport Facebook page. 

Training: at this stage we aim to have training on Wednesday afternoon for final tips and tricks for Thursday. Training will start at 3:45pm and go for about an hour.
