Dear Parents & Carers,
Brain Olympia in Tamworth
A massive congratulations to our incredible team of primary students who took on the best and brightest from across the diocese. On Monday, August 11th, a team of eight amazing students — Dani, Cynthia, Sienna, Harold, Delia, Kendall, Dougie, and Ryder — traveled to St. Edward's Tamworth to compete in the highly challenging Brain Olympia.
This isn't just any competition; it's a true test of knowledge, quick thinking, public speaking, drama and teamwork.
The tension was high as the competition kicked off with the general knowledge round! Our team gave it their all, but it was in the maths section that we truly started to shine. Harold and Cynthia were a force to be reckoned with, skillfully leading the charge and racking up crucial points that put us back in the game.
Then came the speech round, where Sienna took the stage and absolutely captivated the audience with her amazing presentation. And for the grand finale? The drama section! The team’s incredible acting and speaking skills took center stage, leaving everyone in awe. What a performance! We couldn't be prouder of their hard work, dedication, and collaborative spirit.
Thank you to all the parents/carers who travelled with these students so that they could compete.
