Welcome back to Term 3! I hope all our students and families had a restful and refreshing break. It’s been wonderful to see the energy and enthusiasm as everyone has settled back into routines. Term 3 is always a busy and exciting time, full of rich learning opportunities, special events, and continued growth for our students. We’re looking forward to another productive and positive term ahead, and thank you for your continued support of our school community.
This term, we’ve introduced Knowledge Society at St Patrick’s, which brings a renewed focus on strong classroom routines to support effective teaching and learning. As part of this, all classes are now using three key routines: the Cue to Start, Entry Routine, and Exit Routine. These simple yet powerful structures help create calm, focused learning environments where students know exactly what is expected of them. Consistency across the school means students experience the same clear expectations in every classroom, which supports their confidence, independence, and ability to engage in learning from the moment they walk in the door.

A reminder to all families to take the time to read your child’s Semester 1 report, which is available on SIMON Everywhere or PAM. These reports provide valuable insights into your child’s learning progress and achievements so far this year. So far, 81 out of 95 students have had their reports viewed by a parent or guardian — thank you to those who have already done so! If you haven’t had the chance yet, we encourage you to log in and review the report as soon as possible. If you need support accessing it, please contact the office.
We’re excited to launch our latest fundraising initiative — the Family Name Paver Project! This is a special opportunity to mark your name in history and leave a lasting legacy at St Patrick’s. For just $50 per paver, your family name will be engraved and become a permanent part of our school grounds. Forms were sent home with students during the week, and additional copies are available at the office. We’d love to see as many families as possible take part in this meaningful project!
Last week we proudly hosted our Open Day 2.0, and it was wonderful to welcome so many new and returning families through our doors. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive, and it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the vibrant learning and strong sense of community at St Patrick’s. As a result, our enrolments for 2026 are looking very strong, and we may even reach 100 students — an exciting milestone for our school! If your family does not intend to return to St Patrick’s in 2026, please let me know as soon as possible, as this will help us plan staffing and class structures effectively.
A big congratulations to Lil and Ollie who participated in the next stage of the Lions Club Public Speaking Competition, which we hosted at St Patrick’s last weekend. Ollie came runner up in the Grade 3-4 category and Lil placed 3rd in the Grade 5/6 category. They both received a certificate and gift voucher for Collins Bookstore.
A big thanks to Rach who attended the event on behalf of the St Patrick’s staff.
Last week, we had a fantastic time celebrating PJ Day at school! It was wonderful to see students and staff getting into the spirit by wearing their favourite pyjamas, dressing gowns, and slippers. The day was filled with smiles, cosy vibes, and plenty of fun, all while helping to build a strong sense of community and connection. A big thank you to everyone who took part and made the day such a success! You've got to love a little matchy-matchy when it comes to PJ's:
